The Round Top Rifle Association is a non-profit community service organization, located in Fayette County, Texas. Members honor the German heritage of the organization by hosting social gatherings, the historic Fourth of July parade, dances, and other celebrations.
The 147th Schützenfest is right around the corner!
The annual shooting contest is a fun, family event. On Saturday evening, the Rifle Association members and their families meet for a social and meal.
The shooting competition takes place on Sunday morning and the new Schützen König (king) is crowned and celebrated at a public dance on Sunday evening.
We have a special treat this year! The Original Bavarian Blasmusik, an authentic, 22 member brass band will travel from Germany to perform at the Hall on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The dance begins at 5:00 p.m. with the Grand March and crowning of the new König. He then taps the ceremonial keg of German bier and proceeds to serve his subjects!
