The longest running Fourth of July celebration west of the Mississippi continued its great tradition on Thursday. Temperatures were a bit toasty, but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the parade participants or the crowds of spectators grabbling beads, trinkets, or candy. The Round Top community has celebrated the Fourth of July every year since 1851. Hearty parade participants smiled and tossed candy and trinkets to the children along the route. Our thanks to all the 100+ great volunteers that helped carry off a 174th celebration that was fun and safe!
